Our Dogs
Below is a description & photo of all 4 of our dogs...Hollie, Daniel, Sasha
& Jasmine. With our children all out on their own, these dogs are our new
family. There are many professionals who feel that dogs should not be
treated like people. Andog d, they may be right. However, Will and I
thoroughly enjoy treating our dogs as our babies...our kids...as the center of
our lives. This doesn't mean that we don't discipline them when it's
needed; they do have to mind their manners and follow the rules and limits we
have set for them. But, we spoil them with treats, toys and affection.
And, I haven't enjoyed life so much as I now do since my "babies" entered my
life.

Hollie
Ann
Our Hollie
was born Dec. 14, 2004. She became our baby at the age of 8 weeks old. Hollie became the "queen bee" of the house right away, always expecting royal
treatment and usually getting it. She is a girl who knows her mind without
the bratty attitude of a spoiled kid.
Hollie is
playful, affectionate, fun-loving and completely loyal to her parents. She
loves kisses, car rides, flannel blankets, chicken, walks and camping.
She's a "daddy's girl" and has been right from the start, except when
she has a litter. Whenever she has babies to care for, she's a momma's
girl.
Hollie goes with
Will almost everywhere, sitting on his lap with her front paws on his left arm
so she can look out the window. Hollie is
also a very intelligent dog with a large vocabulary. She knows exactly
what I am saying, whether it's "treat time" or "stay there, I'll be right back".
She does enjoy her wardrobe of clothes, including sweatshirts, dresses and
sweaters.
Hollie is a
wonderful dog, with every good feature that the Maltese breed has to offer.
She's a perfect mother to her babies, caring for them lovingly and
energetically.

Daniel
Mark
Our Daniel
was born Dec. 20, 2004...just a week after Hollie. Danny has the same
father as Hollie but a different mother. Will and I had gone to look at
Hollie with the intentions of buying one dog. But, after watching the two
of them play together, I knew Hollie would be much happier with a playmate to
keep her company. It was a decision we have never regretted. They
amuse each other for hours, making up games just like children do.
Daniel is a
petite Maltese, weighing in at 6.0 lbs. We call him "our little
man" & "Dan the man" because he has no problem keeping his 2 women in line and
letting them know who's boss. He has a very gentle, sweet personality &
always defers to the girls, allowing them to be first in every situation.
Danny loves
to have his tummy stroked, bacon, soft toys, sitting on my or Will's lap,
camping and walks.

Sasha
Kissy Face
Our Sasha (yes, Sasha
Kissy Face is her registered name) was born March 3, 2005. Although
slightly homely as a baby, she grew into one of the most gorgeous Maltese I have
ever seen. She is a little larger than Hollie or Danny, weighing in at
about 9 lbs. But, her personality is larger than life!
Sasha is a "momma's
girl", following me everywhere I go. She is outgoing, playful, very
affectionate, loves to kiss...hence her name, cute as a button, extremely intelligent
&
very expressive. She has certain poses she uses to tell me what she wants.
Sasha greets me each morning with so much happiness and tons of kisses....makes
the start of each day something to look forward to.
Sasha is also a
perfect mother....loving & caring for each of her babies as though she had
years of experience....the power of instinct is amazing.

Jasmine
Sweetie
Introducing Jasmine,
the newest member of our family. She is now 13 months old & a real beauty with
fine, silky hair and big eyes. Jasmine has a very playful personality,
but also loves to kiss and cuddle. Our other 3 dogs had fully accepted
her as a family member by the middle of her first day with us. Sasha
loves to play chase with her; Hollie mothers her by
cleaning her face & ears; and Daniel cuddles next to her for nap time.
We will be breeding her when the time is right, but also hope
to have many happy years with her as our pet.
